RYANAIR annonced 7 new routes from Porto
Ryanair announced in Porto, the launch of seven new routes and the fourth aircraft for its base in Porto Airport, for November. The new routes are: Barcelona El Prat, Bologna, Bremen, Maastricht, Marrakesh, Munich West (Memmingen) and Valencia. The airline has also informed the frequencies increase on St. Etienne (Lyon) and Tours routes, from 2 to 3 weekly flights.
Porto Airport Director, Dr. Fernando Vieira, said:
"Ryanair’s decision to increase its base capacity at Porto Airport, from 3 to 4 aircrafts, is extremely important and is a consequence of the Airport and the region excellent performances, since the base launch in september 2009. The announcement of these new routes will contribute to strengthen our Airport as the greatest Airport within the Iberian Peninsula northwest, as well as to achieve 2010 Porto Airport goal, to reach 5M passengers by the end of the year."
